Each year a number of jazz musicians from all over the world visit this city to participate in iconic music festivals and other special events. Yet, Rob and his team didn’t select shooting locations near the downtown area of the city.

The opening scene of the film was shot in the eastern part of this city. The scene where Mrs. Harper loses her life due to a horrible car accident was filmed near Dwyer Road. Other important scenes of The Boogeyman were captured in and around several other locations in New Orleans.

The scenes depicting Sadie Harper’s high school in the movie were shot inside McDonogh High School. This famous school is located at 4000 Cadillac St, New Orleans. Special shooting permission was acquired from the board members of the high school before filming inside the premise.

Additional outdoor scenes of The Boogeyman were filmed in and around New Orleans. The shooting process continued till the third week of February 2022. After all sequences of The Boogeyman were lensed, the crew began working on the post-production process.
