Thus the opening sequence of the show was filmed in the downtown area of Metro Atlanta. Skillet Diner is also a location seen in the show. The diner holds a special place in the director’s heart as her dad used to go to the same diner with his friends every day, and it was thrilling for her to film at a similar place.

The majority of the interior sequences of the show were filmed inside a studio, located at 6269 Best Friend Road, Gwinnett County. The filming crew constructed a make-believe set inside the Eagle Rock Studios and captured the interior scenes of the Bureau.

Los Angeles, California | USA

Other pivotal outdoor sequences were later filmed, in and around the city of Los Angeles. The production members scouted different neighborhoods in this Californian city, before capturing the exterior scenes. The sequences depicting Will following the trail of a criminal in California were filmed on the outskirts of Los Angeles. 

Filming in Los Angeles lasted for several weeks, as the shooting permissions were acquired at the eleventh hour. After the shooting was completed the production members then began the promotion of the series.
