Rouen, France

The production team of Joyeux Noel filmed the romantic drama movie in France’s Rouen and Canada’s Vancouver. As you probably know, most Hallmark movies are shot in British Columbia, but due to the movie’s storyline, the director, Jessica Harmon, decided to shoot a portion of the movie in the French city of Rouen. Harmon wanted to stay true to the story and decided to shoot on location in France. Principal photography commenced in May 2023 and was wrapped up in July 2023.

The production team filmed several scenes near Carrousel Pub and Bar, located at 77 Rue d’ Amiens, 76000 Rouen. As filming at this location took place in June, the production team had to put in a lot of effort to try and make it look like during Christmas time.

According to reports, one of the extra actors claimed that it was actually 33 degrees Celsius during the production process, and even though it was challenging to shoot wearing winter clothes, everyone still had a lot of fun.

After filming in France, the cast and crew moved back to British Columbia to shoot the other portion of the romantic drama movie Joyeux Noel. Filming took place in multiple locations across Vancouver. 

The production team shot in different neighborhoods where other Hallmark movies were also filmed. They also took help from local teams, which smoothened the production process. Other popular Hallmark films like Love Hard, Hitched for the Holidays, and Finding Santa were also shot in Vancouver, British Columbia.
