However, what she discovers about Lucas and what he’s hiding in the basement of his home is far worse than anyone could ever have imagined. Lucas’s father, Frank Weaver runs a meth lab in an abandoned mine. While he works, his young son Aiden waits outside the mine in a truck. 

 One day, while working at the lab, Frank, his accomplice, and young Aiden were attacked by an unseen creature. They survive the brutal attack but upon returning home their state worsens. 

In the basement, Frank sets up a room that Lucas and Aiden have been forbidden from entering. But, what if, the monster that’s locked inside escapes and unleashes his reign of terror?

Hope, a city located in British Columbia was the primary location for filming Antlers. Hope is known for its lush greenery, wide forest cover, huge waterfalls, and towns by the lake. A lot of local spots around the city were used for filming scenes for the movie.

Burnaby, British Columbia

After Hope, the production unit moved to Burnaby, British Columbia to do a part of the filming of Antlers there. Burnaby was chosen as a filming location because Mammoth Studios is located there. If you factor in things like animation, visual effects, etc. you’d know that any supernatural movie requires a lot of post-production work. 

So, the close proximity to Mammoth Studios was very convenient for creating the magic and mystic effects that the movie couldn’t have done without.

For example, some scenes of the movie were filmed at Minaty Bay, a waterfront trail that is also a popular tourist destination for birdwatching or hiking.
